UFOINFO Sighting Form Report

Location: Quinton, Birmingham, UK

Date: 27th August Around 9.30pm

Approach Direction: Falling from from the north to the south

Departure Direction: n/a

Witness Direction: South

Description: It was an intense bright white light, at first I thought it was a firework burning out but it was way to big to be a firework. There was a trail of smoke behind it and it seemed to land/crash about a mile or two away. There was no noise or explosion. Very strange indeed. If I had to say what I thought it was I would say someone maybe had fired a distress flare and it was burning and falling by the time I saw it. But why would anyone shoot a distress flare in a suburban area?

Color/Shape: Egg shaped, intense bright white with smoke trail

Height & Speed: I really couldn't say, About the height of a police helicopter when hovering I would guess. Maybe debris from space although nothing has been reported?

TV/Radio/Press: As far as I am aware this has not been reported

The witness also wrote that he had already had a look at the UFO Ballons site on the morning of August 28th. The object he saw was on descent and was very bright white.
