UFOINFO Sighting Form Report

Location: Edinburgh Scotland

Date: Monday 10.09.07 0330 hrs GMT

Approach Direction: Stationary

Departure Direction: North

Witness Direction: South

Description: 2 large very bright lights beside Orion one above the other, stationary at 1st but moved slowly north keeping distance between them. Both then faded to a small orange/red dot as if closing the iris on a lens and then vanished.

Color/Shape: bright white faded to orange/red.

UFOINFO Note: As with other similar reports I asked the witness to have a look at the UFO Balloons website to see if this is what might have been seen and received the following reply:

Hello John,

I have had a look at the site and a couple of related ones. The lights I saw were much brighter than these, I would describe them as similar to Sirius (which was not visable) but bigger in size they did move slowly like a balloon would, but faded out in unison, the closest I could describe this is if you look at a camera lens and turn the f stops from wide open to closed.
