UFOINFO Sighting Form Report

Location: Dundee, Scotland

Date: 16/09/07

Approach Direction: east

Departure Direction: west

Witness Direction: North

Description: at approx 2015 hrs a saw aline of bright orange lights ( appeared to be slightly larger than the stars) moving in line.

The moved what appeared to be a slow steady pace then just seemed to fade away as they went west.

This was followed 5 mins later by another 4 , 2 of which were clsoe together.

Then another one at 2045.

lasted approx 10 - 15 mins

Color/Shape: bright orange

Height & Speed: 8000 ft speed was slowish.

In a follow-up message the witness wrote:

Hi John,

It was in the press the following day about it.

Apparently it was "chinese lanterns", much the same as the ufo balloons.

Local hairdresser was celebrating 50 years in the business and released 8 of them where they apparently write wishes on paper and put them in the lantern !
