November 3rd 2007 : Worle, Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, England

UFOINFO Sighting Form Report

Location: Worle - Somerset

Date: 3 November 2007

Time: 8.45(ish)

Number of witnesses: at least a dozen

Number of objects: 3

Shape of objects: firstly triangular then linear

Weather Conditions: clear

Description: I drove past the pub in the Scaurs and saw several people gazing up at the sky - some with cameras and others with phone cameras. Pulled over to see what they were looking at because the angle of their sight-line was higher than fireworks. I and my friend looked up to the sky and saw three orange/red small lights stationary in the sky. Then suddenly the one on the lower left of the triangle shot a short distance to the left and the one on the lower right shot to the right an equal distance. they then rejoined the remaining light to form a line of three lights. Then one by one (left one first, then central one and finally right hand one) they simply dimmed and disappeared. I don't know what I saw - but it was far too long to have been a firework and far too high, as there were fireworks going off nearby very much lower in the sky. It was the fact they were stationery for a good 60 - 90 seconds without any movement at all which convinced me that this was not a firework.

TV/Radio I have not seen any reports, but outside the pub were about 9 people and a few people standing nearby on the pavements too.

UFOINFO Note: As with other similar reports I asked the witness to have a look at the UFO Balloons website to see if this is what might have been seen and received the following reply:

Hello John, - what I saw does not resemble the items on the video. However, I do have an open mind about my 'sighting' as I am a sceptic. I have no explanation and was flabbergastged when relating to a member of my local camera club, when she revealed that she too had seen it less than a mile from where I was watching. She saw it from a car and they stopped and got out to watch. I'm disappointed that none of the dozen or so other witnesses have bothered to report it, as there was a large group of about 9 people, all using mobiles to photograph it and another couple about 50 yards away also watching.

I did grab my camera and upon downloading there is no video (I used the video utility) or still picture of what I saw - that more than anything has made me uneasy! It was a very clear sky full of stars yet not one star came out, let alone any UFO!. A couple of nights later I tried using the video again and the stars came out on camera this time. How could this happen? It's a strange coincidence that my camera, for the first time in 4 years of ownership, suddenly does not record what I'm pointing it at, yet two nights later it works perfectly.....

No ideas, no explanations, just mystified and puzzled and exhilirated to feel priveleged to have witnessed something inexplicable, no matter what it was.
