UFOINFO Sighting Form Report

Location: Aldershot, Hampshire, England

Date: 31/12/07

Time: 00:20am

Number of witnesses: 2

Number of objects: 3

Shape of objects: Circular and or disc shape

Weather Conditions: Partly cloudy, with some clear intervals

Description: I went to open the window for some air and looked into the sky, noticing 2 very unusual lights. As a professional astronomer and meteorologist, I started to panic because I knew they shouldnt have been there. I watched closely as the two, vivid, orange lights started to track very slowly in a north, north easterly direction. At first, they were very close together, before the first light of the pair started to ease away and gradually fade within about 1 minute, leaving one on its own. Then, in the same position of the first two, another even brighter orange disc appeared, following the track of the first two lights, in a north, north easterly direction. The three lights faded away within about 4 minutes. Very bizarre and i'll remember this night for a long time, as I am sure i've witnessed something very special.

TV/Radio: n/a

UFOINFO Note: As with other similar reports I asked the witness to have a look at the UFO Balloons website to see if this is what might have been seen and received the following reply:

Hi John,

Thanks for your reply!

I've taken a look at the balloons video and I can 100% rule them out. These weren't lanterns of any kind. I say that, because the first two seemed to revolve around each other, before following each other in a straight line in a north, north easterly direction. Then, a seperate one appeared on its own in the sky. So, I wouldnt say these were lanterns at all.

If only I could have filmed them, but normal digital cameras etc wouldnt have picked them up, even though they were as bright as say Venus in the night sky (- magnitude). Its going to drive me mad, not knowing what they were, but without a doubt, the strangest thing I've ever seen in the sky, full stop. Any more information and i'll gladly help out.
