Shape of objects: Massive white light the size of a house

Weather Conditions: Cloudy

Description: It was the night of Britain's earthquake, it was 10pm and I opened the backdoor to have a cigarette, I looked immediatley up and saw a bright white circular light just over my neighbours house, it was massive,(the size of a house and about 50ft up), it slowly moved north west, then dissapeared, I ran further to the back of the garden but could not see it.

As I have been in the military, I know what helicopters or search lights look like in the darkness of night and this was not either. It was silent! Someone else must have seen this.
