UFO Sighting Report - United Kingdom
July 13th 2008 : Grimsby, Lincolnshire, England
UFOINFO Sighting Form Report
Location: Grimsby N.E.Lincs. U.K.
Time: Aprox. 01:20 BST
Number of witnesses: 1
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: round (was faint so difficult to make out a shape really)
Weather Conditions: fine - virtually no cloud
Description: very faint but occupying about twice the amount of sky as a commercial jet at altitude - was orange - like say a slightly incandessent object.
Moved across the sky rapidly - several times faster than a jet airliner.
I can't 100% rule out the possibility it was a bird illuminated by street lighting, but it would have to have been very close, and I'm sure I'd recognise a bird at that distance...(99.99%sure)
Made no noise so must have been very high to avoid causing sonic boom - My most rational explaination.... ....large meteor just skirting the atmosphere and not really getting that hot...Can this happen does anyone know? seemed a little slow for meteor but I could just about believe it. Anyone have any ideas?
UFOINFO Note: As with other similar reports I asked the witness to have a look at the UFO Balloons website to see if this is what might have been seen and received the following reply:
Yeah I've seen these before - this was moving way way too fast... not any sort of balloon..
