Shape of objects: White ball, bigger than a star at sight.

Weather Conditions: Clear night, minimal cloud cover

Description: Me and my girlfriend were walking back from a friends house when we looked up to gaze at the stars as it was a clear night - that's strange enough for Stockport. Anyway we thought we were looking at a shooting star, when it changed direction and went back on its self. It then moved in a semi circular motion, stopped and then vanished. I would have never mentioned this if I was on my own, but the fact is we both saw the same thing. I have looked into theories, and we may have seen a passing satellite but the movement of one of those would have gone in one direction ( I think ) so who knows .......
