UFO Sighting Report - United Kingdom
August 2nd 2008 : Zetland Park, Grangemouth, Falkirk, Scotland
UFOINFO Sighting Form Report
Location: Seen over Zetland Park, Grangemouth
Time: 22.30pm - 23.00pm
Number of witnesses: 5
Number of objects: 15
Shape of objects: Large almost oval shaped
Weather Conditions: Slight cloud, mild
Description: We spotted a group of 7 orange, large oval balls of light appear over the trees, from our verandah. Mustve took off 2 miles away and at about a 45/50 degree gradient. They flew in formation and headed up the river forth towards Edinburgh but more and more groups of these shot into and through the sky in groups of 3 at a time + in the same manner from the same place and all headed in that direction. We filmed them over half an hour - needless to say, it contains ALOT of swearing!
TV/Radio: No press surprisingly enough, when we called the police they said they had other callers saying they had seen same thing in the same area.
UFOINFO Note: As with other similar reports I asked the witness to have a look at the UFO Balloons website to see if this is what might have been seen and received the following replies:
Thank you for your email.i had a look at the picture + heres what i think, these objects we spotted were taking off at force against the wind.that baffled us, these did take off nearby + seemed more of your classic u.f.o disk shape they were alot brighter than the balloons that are closer to the camera but when they got quite far away and gained alot of height they looked alot like the distant u.f.o balloons in your picture, also on the footage it appeared that they sometimes changed colour.
John, going on the balloons closer in the picture, they look nothing like what we saw. the disks of light we saw were huge compared to the largest ones you have pictured with nothing on top of them. these ones were almost bright white while low and becoming more orange with height. we called the police straightaway who said it was being dealt with and to stay calm, 20 mins later it got scary then another of our group called wondering what explaination we'd get. 'candles + balloons from a bday party', she stuttered..
Whats interesting is the last balloon i saw took off from another place, quite a bit more east than the rest + went the same way, that was the closest one we had saw. if it was u.f.o balloons, the people wouldnt have had time to have launched them + moved to the location of where the last one took off. i dont get why another person would go to a different spot to just let off one balloon, when the other 14 took off fine elsewhere. A friends friend saw them from/in falkirk + thought they came from Bonnybridge.
