Weather Conditions: Raining, lighting and thunder

Description: Was watching storm with friend out of bedroom window facing southwards, when after a flash of lighting, we both saw a redish orange colour like roundish large kind of flare that just appeared from quite high in the sky and started to fall and then just dissappeard this must have been about half a mile away and sill the size from were we was about a 50p.
