Description: My wife saw the first sighting on the 12th September, when she was standing out the back of our house; she came in & said to me I’ve just seen a UFO! She described it as being round and glowing bright orange, it came in from the horizon (heading East direction) & flew directly over head & just as it got directly over the top of her it suddenly turned sharp at 90 degrees & shot off into the distance (heading North direction). She said that the bright orange glow was the only light it produced & it was completely silent.
Our garden faces West & we are high up on a hill with practically no obstructions from view, we have a good 180 degrees view & can see over Rochester & Strood for miles.
The 2nd sighting was one week later 19th September at 21:00 hrs, this time we both were standing out the back of the house, when again an orange round glow was coming in from the horizon. “That’s what I saw last week” my wife said to me. I was not really taking much notice, not until it got closer.
UFOINFO Note: The 3rd sighting is missing from the report and I did not notice that when I first wrote to the witness. So far I have not received details of this sighting.
-----
UFOINFO Note: As with other similar reports I asked the witness to have a look at the UFO Balloons website to see if this is what might have been seen and received the following reply:
Dear John,
Thank you for your reply regarding my sighting.
I have looked at the UFO Balloons website you provided. The UFO Balloons are fascinating, I never knew that such a product was available but after seeing the short film on the web link, I had to ask myself are these legal in the UK & what would happen if one was to come down onto a shed or garage or even worse cause a light aircraft to crash, especially as I live about 1.5 miles from Rochester airport & have light aircraft flying over all the time, day & night. I don’t expect you to answer these questions; I will do my own research into this matter.
It’s difficult to say if it was these balloons that we saw! The only way to be 100% sure is to see one of these balloons actually launched in real life, I can see the resemblances to what we have seen & the fact that we have sighted them only on a Friday or Saturday, could suggest that someone is using them to celebrate a special occasion or something? The only thing that puts doubt in my mind is the fact that what we saw moved at very high speed, accelerating & stopping & suddenly changing direction? However I now have my camera on standby & at easy reach, ready to photo & film any other future sightings!
Would you be interested in me forwarding anything that I may capture with my camera in the future?
Kind Regards,
