Description: 2 lights- 1 orange & 1 red- they were steady in the sky but gradually appeared to move towards us getting further apart. They finally stopped and then the red light seemed to slowly disappear behind the orange light- as if it were on object turning slowly. The distance between the lights was such that if it were a helicopter it would have been about 100 yards away but there was no sound. The orange light came back later, further away and again just hovered in the air motionless. Being fireworks night, hundreds of people were presumably looking into the sky too, so I am amazed that no-one else found the lights strange.
