Weather conditions: Clear and crisp

My family and I were walking home down Marshlands Road, Little Neston on Christmas Night (25/12/08) and saw an glowing orange object in the sky travelling East to West at a speed similar to a small jet. It flew towards the marsh and then veered off Northwards and disappeared from sight. There were 4 adults and 3 children who witnessed this. The time of the sighting was 21.07 hours and it only lasted approximately 1 to 1.5 minutes.

The weather that night was quite clear and crisp.

The other thing we noticed was there was no noise related to the sighting.

UFOINFO Note: As with other similar reports I asked the witness to have a look at the UFO Balloons website to see if this is what might have been seen and received the following reply:

Hi John,

Thank you for your reply, I had already checked the ufo balloons site before I emailed you just to be sure and I am still convinced that what we saw was not a balloon.

I couldn't say how high it was because I am not sure how big it was. It was moving under power though.
