Location: Braintree Essex

Number of witnesses: 4

Number of objects: 7

Shape of objects: Orange balls

Weather Conditions: Slightly foggy

Description: The orange lights came from the east Clacton/Colchester direction and flew over Braintree and toward in an arc towards Chelmsford South. We saw a set of two, then one then 2 and 2 . I have it all on video and 3 photos. Saw 1st sighting over Braintree on Boxing day at 1030hrs just a single orange light heading east to west. No flashing lights or sound form either evening.

TV/Radio: Did not report to media and the orange lights seem to be too 'normal' now not erratic enough could be space stations and orbiting satellites.

UFOINFO Note: As with other similar reports I asked the witness to have a look at the UFO Balloons website to see if this is what might have been seen and received the following reply:

Yes well done that is exactly what they were.

UFO balloons, the wind direction, height and colour and fading out evidences what was happening last night. I filmed them on High definition video albeit still fuzzy due to low light but the time, just after midnight, evidences someone setting them off. the location from Colchester Clacton area. the speed, same as wind speed, and fading out as explained in ufo balloon website.

Little point in sending in video or photos i took but I suggest all these people who are posting these light sightings have a link earlier to explain what it could be. As I only found the explanation after a lot of research.
