Shape of objects: A Bright object glowing orange/white

Weather Conditions: Clear

Description: We have just been traveling with my family and saw a really big bright light in the sky. We tried to follow it as my son thought it was a hot air balloon, then we realised it was on fire and was heading towards the ground. We thought it was a light aircraft on fire so we contacted the police who met us and said they would have a look nothing as yet.
