Shape of objects: Looked sort of circular but, made up of flat surfaces

Weather Conditions: Clear skies at night

Description: Stepped outside to fetch something from the car and noticed a strange glowing object in the sky travelling at speed not making any sound, it then slowed down over the sea and continued like that for a few seconds, then it took a very sharp upward turn - almost 90 degrees I would say and then disappeared upwards into the sky!

I have never seen an aircraft which can turn and accelerate that fast and generate no noise whilst doing so!
