UFOINFO Sighting Form Report

Location: Ravenshead, Nottinghamshire

Date: March 21 2009

Time: 9.30pm approx

Number of witnesses: 4

Number of objects: 7

Shape of objects: Orange lights

Weather Conditions: Some cloud, but dry. Had been a warm day.

Description: We were driving home from Ravenshead to M******** Rd Nottingham, along Longdale Lane, when we saw 7 orange lights in the sky to the right. Two of the lights went closer to the other 3 to form a W shape. They disappeared into/above the clouds.

UFOINFO Note: As with other similar reports I asked the witness to have a look at the UFO Balloons website to see if this is what might have been seen and received the following reply:

Hello John

We will make enquiries locally, but we don't think that what we saw could have been the balloons shown on the video because the orange lights in the sky were too big/bright. (By the time these balloons had reached any height, they would surely have been too small.)

At first I thought they could be helicopters flying in formation, but the colour was wrong; when we turned off the radio, we could not hear anything above the sound of the engine - and we would have heard helicopters. We tried to get to a spot where we could get out of the car and see them without disruption to the view (away from trees) but they had disappeared before we could.

If I find out anything else, either way, I'll be in touch again.
