Description: I had seen this object last year around november at around 0900hrs. Looking out of the kitchen window I saw a bright red/orange light. It drew my attention because aircraft flight paths are over head and anything not moving with flashing lights stands out a mile. I went outside to see if the object I was seeing was a reflection in the double glazing, it wasn't.
While observing, the object moved in various directions in the sky at speeds faster than the aicraft. The height seemed to vary depending on how far away the object was, at one point it came down low, at other times it would appear higher than the flight paths. The glow off this thing varied in intensity and after around 15 mins of movement it remained stationary. It then glowed intense orange and appeared to diminish into a pin prick and disappear as if moving north away from me. The may 24 account is the same apart from the object stayed still but just varied in it's intensity (bright orange to a lighter shimmer). Eventually this then faded and disappeared.
I waited to see if it would reappear. I went back in picked up my digital camera and waited around 30 mins before it came back closer than before. I could see a more intense light at the centre as it radiated an red/orange glow around itself. I started to take photos, within 3-4 mins it disappeared. The digital photos taken were as to be expected from a small camera on full zoom. uneventful.
