UFOINFO Sighting Form Report

Location: Middleton GTR Manchester

Date: May 31 2009

Time: 12.20am

Number of witnesses: 8

Number of objects: 2

Shape of objects: round/disc/balloon

Weather Conditions: clear sky/warm /no cloud

Description: We were sat in the back garden enjoying a drink and remnants of our barbi, when one of the group noticed a bright orange object moving overhead. It made no sound and travelled very quickly over the house tops .. in the minute we watched the object I rushed into the house to find my camera ..hearing the others shouting I rushed back out to witness another object again bright orange more shaped like a balloon travelling along the same flightpath as the first..this object seemed to wobble and have a small vapour trail behind it like a flame. Sadly didnt find camera in time but waited to see if objects returned..strange thing is we all seemed to have a different view to what we saw one saw lights under the first object ..one thought the first object was a helicopter ( But no sound )..all agreed it was a weird experience. UFO yes...we certainly dont know what they were.

TV/Radio: After the event checked web and found report of earlier similar sightings over Middleton in April...

UFOINFO Note: As with other similar reports I asked the witness to have a look at the UFO Balloons website to see if this is what might have been seen and received the following reply:

Hi John,

Thanks for your reply..sorry ...but what we saw wasnt one of those lanterns these were huge and travelled very fast ..we are still trying to fathom what we saw ...not saying they were alien craft only we dont know what they were ..which is a ufo/unidentified...they moved as being controlled /like an aircraft but silent and faster...fascinated by it ...kept my eye out for a re-appearence but so far no luck. Keep you informed.
