Weather Conditions: Good, clear sky except for bits of whispy cloudy - still night

Description: The object was slowly moving along, High as an aeroplane but not too high.....moved slowly, I listened out very carefully but it was silent...only can be described as a fireball....after about 1 minute it stopped by a small cloud and disappeared into it upwards, only for the small cloudy to then disperse and the object had vanished...I am hoping someone can come up with an explanation as I did not believe in UFOs until now! - I have no explanation as to what it could be...
