Weather Conditions: Clear with some high cloud, calm

Description: Looking through the upstairs window we saw seven orange lights in a diagonal, in a staggered zig zag formation. High in the sky in the distance. Moving towards and slightly to left of us. Country area with no interference from street lighting. Never seen anything like this before - usually looking for badgers. Called our son and we all went outside into the garden. Disappearing and reappearing, finally disappeared leaving last one which rose into high cloud and disappeared from view.

We do not usually look for things in the sky but feel that we have seen something which is difficult to explain.
