Location: Seascale, Cumbria

Number of objects: 4

Shape of objects: Circular and orangy/red

Weather Conditions: Clear skies

Description: Driving in a westerly direction overlooking the coast onto the Irish sea I initially witnessed 3 orangy/red circles in the sky. They were collectively forming a hook shape. They were relatively low, ruling out satellites. I could not hear any noise although I was in the car at the time. As I rounded a corner there was another one, making 4 in total. They were quite close together, all of them static apart from one which moved up the sky towards the other. When I arrived in Seascale I could no longer see them in front of myself so I looked all around and back towards where I had come from and they were all gone.

UFOINFO Note: As with other similar reports I asked the witness to have a look at the UFO Balloons website to see if this is what might have been seen and received the following reply:

Hi John,

I did look at this clip before I emailed you. I’ve just had another look now and I really don’t think it was that. I have heard that there were a few sightings on the same evening as far away as France and Germany and that it was put down to a meteor shower, however I really don’t think this is the case for what I saw, although you can never be positive! What happens now that I have reported the sighting? I thought you should know that I am not usually a UFO follower and this was the last thing I expected to see. It did startle me though! Please keep me posted on any more information as I am now intrigued!
