Description: Saw 4 of these last night with 3 other witnesses- they occassionally disappeared as if they were switched off. We were looking in a westerly direction from Minster, Thanet, Kent in the UK & at first assumed they were flairs a mile or so away until were realised that they were moving in a very controlled way. I headed toward them in my car for about 10 mile before I realised that they must be at least 30 miles away - which also meant that they must have been some 10 metres across or more in size - they were yellow flame colored & had a soft undefined like a fireball, only they were moving around for 30mins or more before I could no longer see them as I was returning hom which is in a valley. A violent lightning storm was developing during this period.
