Time: 21:30 - 21:45

Number of witnesses: 1

Number of objects: 3

Shape of objects: Round orange "spots" exceptionally high in the sky

Weather Conditions: Clear and still - no clouds at all

Description: I noticed an orange light travelling roughly East to West high in the sky at a constant speed and direction - it got brighter as it travelled towards me before it dimmed as it went past before simply disappearing. Probably 35/40 seconds duration.

5 minutes later a second light appeared but much brighter and as it was directly overhead I think I could make out some form of plane(jet like) shining intensely orange with a ball of slightly paler orange around it. Its path + duration was the same.

5 minutes later a 3rd ball appeared and followed the same route - this was not quite so bright.

I have some very poor video of the lights but it was taken on my camera and the autofocus struggled with both the light and the lack of a focal point so it kept trying to refocus.

I saw a single light on the same path late last summer.

My immediate reaction is that these were some form of jet (based upon what I think I saw in the second one) heating up in the outer atmosphere but I don't really know if that is possible!

UFOINFO Note: I wrote to the witness and asked if it was possible for him to send the video and if he could have a look at the UFO Balloons website to see if this is what might have been seen and received the following reply:

I've looked at the balloon video - this helped solve a previous sighting of which I have video/photo...I'm now sure it was Chinese lanterns.

What I reported was completely different - I have 3 video clips...one for each event. The last was cut short because I had to move my car which I had dumped in the middle of the road.

I have trouble with attachments - will try to send 1 clip per email.
