Weather Conditions: Fine with some patchy Cloud

Description: My husband noticed a single red/orange light heading South to North, he called me by the time it took for me to get outside there were three lights with a fourth just coming over the roof of the houses further up the hill. They continued to appear at regular intervals until we had seen Eight. They were not pulsating, flashing or making a noise but were equal distances apart. The two that I looked at through binoculars were round shaped.

I have been advised that they were possibly paper lanterns but we find that hard to believe.
