Shape of objects: Round red/yellow ball moving silently across the sky from south heading north

Weather Conditions: Clear night

Description: Very noticeable bright firey glow maintaining exact altitude and steady speed with no noise. My wife spotted it through our lounge window, we tried to film it but not enough light for our phone camera. Watched it travel toward a helicopter that changed direction and began to follow it, but couldn't seem to keep up with it.
