Shape of objects: Not sure but not a plane

Could your sighting be a UFO balloon/lantern?: No

Weather Conditions: Clear

Description: Saw two objects moving towards us approx 2 miles up which then stopped dead with a white glow emitting from it and then it ascended straight up until it could not be seen any more. Then a further one followed the same path and when up. The after a period of a few minutes a further 3 followed, and then after no more than 30 seconds further one followed the same path. They all followed the same path they all ascended straight up in the same place. As I was watching the above I used a green laser pen to shine onto the UFO's and my wife freaked out, was this the wrong thing to do. Please can you let me know whether we were the only ones to see this or whether there have been sightings like this before.

UFOINFO Note: This is the only report I have so far from that location. As for shining the laser pen at the objects it is probably illegal to do so, especially if it was a piloted craft and not a balloon or similar object.

There have been several reports recently of pilots having lasers shone at them while approaching airports and being temporarily blinded so I would advise against it. Probably okay to use as a marker in the sky but not directly on the object.
