Weather Conditions: Clear night sky

Description: A very bright orange light almost flame like. It was difficult to determine the precise shape but was more round than oval. It glowed like a flame and was very bright. It was completely silent and moved in a perfectly straight line. I'm sure it wasn't a lantern because its route was so perfectly straight and did not move from its line. I witnessed with my daughter and then watched it disappear in the distance. My wife and other daughter then came out. It reappeared travelling the opposite direction then stopped and went back again. Before disappearing it hovered on the spot for about a minute.
