Weather Conditions: Very clear, hottest day of year

Description: Yesterday was hot and sunny in UK and skies were very clear.

At 11.30pm over Hertford, Herts I saw a large silent black boomerang shaped object with dim lights down both sides. I could see the shape against the slightly light polluted sky. It was angular and sharp.. flying point first, I would say 5 times bigger than a plane, but traveling quite slow.. but soon went out of sight. I did jump up and point to others but it was soon behind buildings.. Very odd.
