We were on holiday, it was Friday night at 10:45 pm. My father's eye was drawn outside to four orange lights that had just appeared in the sky.
They were hovering above the cliffs in formation for around 10 mins above the sea. 3 vanished as quickly as they had appeared. The fourth stayed a little longer before upwards and vanishing without trace.
As we looked up into the clear night we were all mystified as to what we had just seen and where those lights had gone. It was so clear, no way could they just go.
After the 4th light had gone a small white light came from nowhere travelling at high speed downwards towards the sea. The sighting of the white light only lasted seconds.
I can't get the experience out of my head. I really want answers.
UFOINFO Note: As with other similar reports I asked the witness to have a look at the UFO Balloons website to see if this is what might have been seen and received the following reply:
I'm unable to open the attachment (the witness was using a computer that meant he was unable to watch the video at the UFO Balloons website) but I can see from the pictures that they could easily be mistaken for ufo's. That would explain why there was no noise and why the hung in the air for so long.
The one thing that got me was after those lights had gone one white light much further from the left came down towards the sea at speed.
Sorry to have wasted your time John. Perhaps it has been balloons/lanterns after all.
UFOINFO Note: Not a waste of my time as the report was made honestly. If the orange lights were lanterns what was the white light that travelled at high speed?
