Weather Conditions: Clear with slight wind

Description: Heard multiple bangs like thunder or fire works at 2255. Looked out window at 2300 and saw approx 7 of these lights flying left to right all following same flight path. Between 2300 and 2333 another approx 25-30 lights appeared in groups of 2-3 all heading on same flight path. I observed them through a scope and they didnt look like lanterns and they were travelling to fast even for planes.
