Shape of objects: Diamond shape

Could your sighting be a UFO balloon/lantern?: no

Weather Conditions: Clear, day time, blue sky.

Description: I was sat out in the garden (South Bristol) looking towards the Clifton Suspension bridge and I noticed a dark object in the sky to my left, quite high in the sky. At first I thought it was a bin liner or a bag that was just floating?? I then realised it was a firm object and not a bag. It seemed to resemble a diamond shape spinning slowly. Every so often I would see a bright light off the bottom half, which looked like a flame but could have been a reflection (of sun maybe?).

I called my boyfriend out to see what I was looking at. He has no idea what it could have been either. I watched it for about 10 minutes. I went upstairs to get my camera and filmed a few seconds of the object from our bedroom window, until it disappeared over the house and my battery died. I would love to know what it was.

Hi John,

Thanks for the feedback. It's a shame it's not clear enough but I had my camera zoomed right in!! I probably wouldn't have got a clearer image on my phone though! (quite a few people commented on this 'UFO' over Bedminster on Facebook at that time). A few weeks earlier someone contacted the Sun newspaper and actually described the exact same object that I saw, which is why I was interested in getting a professional opinion on my film. I wanted to attach the link but have found that someone else saw the exact same thing and have left their sighting on the following link.

Not sure I will ever know now what it was, but if you can't determine what it is and many more people saw it, then I guess it could be a UFO!!
