Location: Catterline near Stonehaven Aberdeenshire. Scotland

Date: a sunday evening july 1969

Time: approx 7pm

Number of witnesses: 12

Number of objects: 1

Shape of objects: triangular

Weather Conditions: bright and evening sunshine

Description: I was 11 years old back then and playing in the back garden with my friends when I looked up and saw this silver triangle "thing" very high up in the sky, not moving but sometimes rotating. Us kids ran to tell our parents who all witnessed it. A neighbours son, a policeman, telephoned a newspaper to be told it was a weather balloon. We all accepted this as back then UFO's were taboo. But that night has never left my memory and as I get older I do not believe that it was a weather balloon. I believe we all saw a UFO that night.

TV/Radio I remember there was a tiny article about it in The Aberdeen Press and Journal the next day.
