Location: Road between Waterloo and Overtown, Lanarkshire, Scotland

Date: 22/9/93 10 pm GMT

Approach Direction: West to East

Departure Direction: South to North

Witness Direction: West

Description: My wife and I were walking from Waterloo to Overtown and observed lights moving in the sky over Larkhall.   As we watched, the lights started to come in our direction following the direction of an old colliery railway. It wasn't until it was over to the right of us that I saw what it was against the dark grey sky, caused by light pollution from the towns of Hamilton and Motherwell. We were just crossing a bridge spanning the main London-Edinburgh as the UFO turned to follow the main line, but it was the way it turned which I found amazing. It didn`t bank like a plane but appeared to pivot on it's port wingtip.

Color/Shape: Black against the sky with four lights along each wing front. It was a very shallow V shape. I could not even guess at the size but it was quite large. There was no noise except a humming sound like you hear from an electricity transformer.

Height & Speed: Height:Approx 100 feet
 Very slow, only about 15-20mph throughout the whole sighting.
