I realise that it may be a little too late to provide details of possible UFO sighting which I believe I witnessed from a train back in early May 1996.
In May 1996, around the 1st bank holiday period, probably Tuesday the 7th, I was travelling around 5-5:30pm from Poole in Dorset to London Waterloo by train, and the incident must have occurred around 18:00. I remember travelling through Brockenhurst station, Hampshire, 10 minutes after this station I was looking at of the window;-
As I looked through the window I thought that I was observing the reflection of the light from the train carriage but then I realised that I was not. I hurriedly left my seat which was close to the carriage door and went to the train door which had a roll down window. As I looked out I clearly saw the most beautiful "saucer" shaped object which appeared to be made from a metallic material (?) that gleamed. The colour was not silver. I had never seen anything like this before. I could make out vertical etched lines around it, it was beautiful! It was a large craft. Occasionally it would stop and then take off in different directions at great speed. It was the most beautiful and sleekest thing I have ever seen. After watching this I ran to try and find another witness or a train guard. My luggage was beside my seat and I was conscious of not leaving it unattended for too long. I search up and down 2-3 train carriages and found no one. I did not possess a mobile telephone. I did not know what to do.
The strange thing is that this train was virtually empty; I had noticed this in Poole and had decided to sit near the carriage door as I was conscious of the fact that I was travelling alone and felt nervous. I remember the day so clearly, it was a beautiful spring day, bright blue sky with white cloud. I will never forget this as long as I live. I told my then partner of the event on arriving at my hotel in London; he was the only person that believed me, and to this day! Following the event the few that I have told have suggested with a smile that I had been drinking, the most I had consumed on the journey was a cup of tea and a kit kat.
Whatever I saw that day was amazing, what at first appeared to be the reflection of a light in a train window turned out to be something which I feel was a UFO. The beauty and speed of this craft was incredible. I feel quite privileged in a way. I just wonder if anyone else who may have been on the train witnessed this, but I found no one else within 3 carriages! I realise in hindsight I should have found the train guard on arriving in London Waterloo, but I felt over whelmed by the events of the evening.
I finally decided to write about this event, I feel sure that someone else noticed this craft back in May 1996.
I realise that all of this happened some 17 years ago, but it is something that one does not forget in a hurry!
I am not sure what use this is now if any, but I hope that someone else will have a similar tale to tell!
Many thanks for reading this mail.
