Description: I did not see the UFO. I am merely reporting what was published in our local newspaper:

From Thursday June 27th, 2000 issue on the second page of The Evening News out of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan:

UFO

SAULT STE. MARIE - Sault Police were summoned to the 1000 block of E. 7th Avenue on Wednesday (June 26, 2006) on reports of an unidentified flying object hovering in that area.

The device was described as having a very shiny top - like the face shield of an astronaut helmet - and it hovered noiselessly in the area for close to an hour.

While police might have dismissed the report had it come from a lone individual, neighbors and other supported the original callers claims of a strange object hovering in the sky.
One of the people on the scene summed up the experience with the phrase: "Not from this world."

Color/Shape: very shiny top - like the face shield of an astronaut helmet
