Description: A loud helicopter sound woke my fiance and I, and we looked out the window to see a low, flying object shaped like a science room model of a molecule: one light straight up, a 3D star shape in the center with many points (like the nucleus), and two lights beneath at a 90 degrees from the star's center. The craft hovered and then seemed to contract into a flatter object as it ascended higher in the sky. Then it flew out of view in a westerly direction at a very slow and loud rate. Another craft was seen in the distance heading in the same slow direction. This craft was shaped more similarly to a plane, but the bulk head was all light and there were many blinking and flashing lights, too many to be a plane. We waited five to ten minutes and returned to the window when we heard more rumbling. We looked far over the horizon and saw what we guessed to be the same triangular craft, traveling much faster than before, because it fled from view very quickly and the individual blinking lights seemed to appear as only one white light as it retreated in the easterly direction.
Color/Shape: It looked like a model of a molecule: no visible connecting parts but one white light straight up, a many pointed star of white and red flashing light in the center, and two white lights beneath at a 90 degree angle from the center. It was very slow moving, flying low, seemed to be hovering, then it retracted the lights and seemed to become flatter as it ascended and flew away... lights flashing as it came and went. The body of the craft was too dark to see. Only the flashing lights and the star center were clearly visible.
Height & Speed: hovering at approx 2,000 feet then ascending to approx 8,000 feet and traveling at perhaps 30-40 mph
TV/Radio/Press: Everyone in this area must have heard the loud rumbling of it, but no reports in the media that I know of.
