UFO SIGHTING REPORT
RICHMOND VIRGINIA
May 31st 2004
Hello, I just wanted to drop you a line. I saw unusual
activity in the Sky around 2 a.m. Monday morning.
I was lounging in my hot tub staring at the sky as I
often do. When out of the corner of my eye to the
left, I saw what appeared to be a star moving steadily
against the night sky from South to North. I thought
at first it might be a shooting star but it did not
burn out. In fact I watched it move across a large
patch of sky. It reminded me of a water bug gliding on
water. It was much too high and fast to be a jet,
there was no flickering of light, it appeared to be
moving out into space. There was no sound at all
produced from it.
I have seen plenty of shooting stars and commercial
aircraft moving in the night sky in my area and I can
assure you this was niether. My heart was racing.
I thought maybe I had just seen the Space Station MIR
orbit overhead but I don't know if that can be seen
with the naked eye or if that is the correct orbit
path.
Anyway just some info to mull over. Have there been
any other sightings in the area?
Regards,
J. D.
