Original UFOINFO sighting form report:

Name: Bob

Location: Islamorada Key

Date: Thursday June 10th, 2004 About 11:45 PM

Approach Direction: Right to left.

Departure Direction: Right

Witness Direction: Straight up.

Description: I was a passenger on a fishing boat and went to the top deck to relax. There was a teenage girl also on the top deck. At one point we both saw what appeared to be a shooting star that stopped abruptly in mid path. This held our attention on what we both then realized was an object. The light was still for a moment and brightened before it made a fast movement at an unexplainable angle. The girl then asked me "is that a satellite?". Perplexed, I continued to whatch as the object changed from white to greenish to red and back to white light and make some more short quick jogs through a small area directly overhead. I could not answer her question, and was totally confused by the object and it's non conformity to physics as I understand it. I would be interested to hear from anyone who may have seen a similar obect on this date. R. Kane

Color/Shape: White to green to red to white.

Height & Speed: Several thousand feet. Speed: As fast as a shooting star?

Follow-up report from Brian Vike:

Hi, I've tried to recall the details over the last few days to answer your questions correctly.

1. It was a clear night with the stars and moon visable through light cloud cover. The moon was not full. The activity took place in close proximity to the moon.

2. Looking directly up from our boat; the UFO came from my right and stopped overhead where the moon was located.

3.There were no aircraft before or after the sighting.

4. There was no trail or tail.

5.I heard no noises except the boat engines.

6. What caught the attention of myself and the young girl watching with me was the fact that this "shooting star" stopped abruptly in midpath. When this happened, the object remained still for a few seconds and seemed to pulse brighter then dimmer. Then in a series of about 8-10 moves the object moved about at extremely sharp angles and what seemed a high rate of speed. At this point the young lady stated " that must be a satellite, right?". I watched this unfold for about 5-7 minutes and the seemed to lose sight of it.

7. The other person was just a passenger who I did not know.

8. There were no flashing lights that I noticed (the object was quite high). There was a definite change of color (reddish/greenish) and as noted a bright/dim aspect.

I hope this helps, sure made me a believer.
