Sighting Form Report:

Location: Atascadero, San Luis Obispo County, California, USA

Date: 07/23/04 at 0115

Approach Direction: Appeared to be a shooting star moving linear across the sky

Departure Direction: paused then move left the moved linear again before darting away.

Witness Direction: West

Description: I had walked out to my car this morning to get my backpack when i noticed what appeared to be a shooting star. As I watched it I noticed an aircraft following the same path. Then the shooting star paused briefly abruptly turning to the left continuing on it quickly sped away from the aircraft then paused again. Then rapidly darted off.

Color/Shape: yellowish orange, fireball with tail and aura. Glowing fireball sphere when paused.

Height & Speed: moving very rpidly while being tailled by aircraft able to move from aircraft at at least twice the speed

TV/Radio/Press: didn't know who to contact thus i found this sight
