UFOINFO Sighting Form Report

Location: Around LaPlace, Louisiana. On interstate-55

Date: Sunday morning May 28 around 12:10 am

Approach Direction: Traveling south in the same direction I was driving but slower than 70 mph

Departure Direction: It vanished

Witness Direction: I was looking at the road when I saw it out of my pasenger window.

Description: On May 28 between 12:00am and 12:15am, I was driving on Interstate 55 southbound from Hammond to Laplace and listening to a CD. When I hit around mile marker 6, I noticed something in the sky out of my passenger window. I looked at it and first thought it could be a plane, but it was flying to low and it was too large to be a plane. I slowed down and studied it. I was a large orange-yellow, very bright ball moving in the same direction I was, but slower. It seemed to be close to me flying right above the tree line. This was a very large, very luminant object. To give an approximate size, in comparison to the moon (which was not in my view with the UFO) it seemed to be maybe 1/4 or 1/5 of the size of the moon. It only stayed in the Sky for about 5 minutes and it was gone. I continued driving and kept looking for it to appear again but it didn't. When I got home I couldn't get it out of my mind. I called my fiancé' and told him I saw something in the sky and thought it could have been a UFO. Of course he said it was probably a plane or something, but I knew it wasn't. I am positive the very bright object I saw was a UFO! I am a skeptic, although UFOs have always seemed interesting I never thought I would actually see one! Shannon B. from Louisiana
