Description: slow and low flying 200' above Las Cruses airport on vector towards White Sands Missile range/Hicks AFB at a distance from me of less than two nautical miles. What I thought was an aircraft on the wrong traffic pattern for approach and way to low for initial. The light was as bright as being in the direct path of the landing light. It suddenly and violently serpentined while accelerating, within 1-1/2 seconds passed me and climbed straight up and out of our atmosphere within 6 seconds. In the three years I had spent at Agurri Springs researching and surveying a 1951 plane crash, after seeing again the attempts they were making trying to approach the military installation I found myself kinda chuckle after this event, asking myself what did they expect.
