Lakewood, New York Oval Object Shoots Of Beam Of Light

Full Description of event/sighting: I was at my friends house and they lived on the lake. We were in the back yard making a fire when this oval object appeared out over the lake. We all froze as it just sat there as it wasn't moving. All of a sudden it gave off a beam of light so bright we couldn't open our eyes. Then in a second we watched it shoot straight up into the sky and was gone. I ran into the house and called my parents to tell them what we saw. I was so in shock as I couldn't believe my eyes !!! I'm a believer for sure now !
