Approach Direction: East

Departure Direction: West

Witness Direction: West

Description: Yesterday afternoon driving home from Salt Lake City I observed an incredibly fast moving object that was as bright as Venus racing in a westernly direction over the Great Salt Lake. It appeared as a solid sphere like object and it didn't leave a trail. It couldn't have been a plane as it moved way too fast and secondly planes don't glow.

Color/Shape: Metallic shining silver disc/sphere
  The size of a plane.

Height & Speed: Steady speed as fast as a fighter jet but no audible noise.
  3000 - 4000 feet.
