Information from Brian Vike
Beaumont, Texas A Lime Green Ball Of Light
Date: March 6, 2006
Time: Approximately 9:30 p.m.
Location of Sighting: Above my rooftop moving over trees towards the South.
Number of witnesses: 1
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Ball shaped.
Full Description of event/sighting: I was sitting on my back patio talking by phone to my friend in Washington State, when I noticed a lime green ball of light appear just at the edge of my rooftop, moving slowly, like a feather floating towards the southern portion of my little town. It floated over the pecan tree tops moving southward towards the southern edge of Jefferson County. It made no sound what so ever. It moved approximately five miles before the light just disappeared from the sky. I watched it for at least five minutes, the whole time I was yelling into the phone at my friend about what I was seeing. I just freaked out saying, Oh my God!, Oh my God!. The center was a darker green than the outer edge. It looked the same color green as a drink called" Mountain Dew".
Dark in the middle, then lighter towards the outer edges, seemingly to glow brighter near the outer edge. Never blinking, just a steady floating, featherlike in a downward arc across the sky. Then disappearing entirely. I related this to my friend on the phone as it was happening, then related it again several nights later to a friend in Orange County, CA. She then told me that she and her son had beheld the same object several weeks before my sighting. Over the past 30 years, my husband and myself have seen other sightings but have never reported them before this.
Thank you to the witness for the report.
Follow-upInformation from Brian Vike:
Dear Brian, below are the answers to the best of my ability.
Q. - How high, roughly would you estimate the object was over your roof ?
A. - Possibly the height that a Life flight Helicopter would fly!
Q. - If low at all, did it brighten, or light up any of the surrounding area ?
A. - No, nothing was lit up by it's presence, except fir the immediate area of the object. The outer edge of it glowed.
Q. - Again, if close to your home, or yourself, did you happen to feel any effects from the ball ?
A. - I didn't feel any effects at the time, but I have been feeling really tired and flu like since that night. I have even mentioned to my friends that I haven't been feeling well the past week. No energy at all.
Q. - Did it pulsate at anytime ?
A. - No, no pulsation, just an iridescent look!
Q. - And did you happen to hear any sound ?
A. - No sounds at all.
Q. - Also, roughly how large would you say this object was ?
A. - At the time, I saw it as being about the size of the moon when full, except a little bit smaller round.
Q. - Could you see any structure to it at all, such as anything which stood out as being windows, hatch, etc. ?
A. - Nothing like that at all, just the glow and shape.
Q. - At anytime, did the object make any erratic maneuvers ?
A. - It seemed to be floating like a feather would in a slight breeze. The nearest example would be like the feather at the end of the Forrest Gump movie!
Q. - Describe the area in which you made the sighting. Is it near an airport? An Air Force Base? A military or research installation of any kind?
A. - We have Jefferson County Municipal Airport near us, but it is in the opposite direction of the sighting.
Q. - If there is anything else you can think of in the way of other detail, this would be wonderful if you might jot it down. A. A. - The object seemed to be coming from the Northeast, because I was facing East with West to my back. The object then floated south to southwest before blinking out. A couple of times it seemed, as if it would land at my feet then seemed to move to a higher elevation, tilting ever so slightly side to side. It did not blink, or fade in and out, nor did I ever hear any engine sounds of any kind. The night was clear with stars and only a few clouds, no wind except a very slight breeze that made my outside chimes bump together softly, they are of bamboo.
