One Mile West Of Sikeston, Missouri A Half Moon Shape Object
HBCC UFO Research Note: The witness drew a wonderful diagram of what was observed. Always something to keep in mind when filing a sighting report, if at all possible it would be so very helpful if anyone can draw a rough diagram of what they saw, in relation with the surrounding area. This gives a better idea of what is actually seen. The diagrams do not have to be fancy at all, just an idea of what the objects look like.

Comment from visitor to the UFOINFO site:
People who live in that area have seen this object many times before. It is a local phenomenon that has no explanation. When I lived in the area during the late 80's- early 90's, we would often see such objects in the sky. A few times witnesses observed military jets giving chase. It is common between Sikeston and Poplar Bluff to see these events. A quick check in the area will reveal all sorts of objects spotted, but the red cupola is the most common.
I don't want to report a UFO: it seems someone already has. I'm simply reporting that many people in that area know the object described is a common one. Long time residents barely give it a second glance anymore, having seen it for years. It has been reported before, to newspapers and television news stations in the area. Perhaps they can give you more information.
