Location: Approx 10 miles off shore North West of St Petersburg, FL (Gulf of Mexico).

Date: 07/07/2007 approx 7pm EST

Approach Direction: SouthWest

Departure Direction: NorthEast

Witness Direction: East

Description: Heading off coast on fishing boat at near sun down; when behind us, the flying object caught the attention of someone on the boat. Clear summer evening several miles off shore; so distance referencing was difficult with zero landmarks; but a guess for distance might be half a mile away, maybe further. Boat was in motion; with light water chop; so one moment it appeared stationary; the next it was gone. Altitude from sea level may have been a couple hundred feet.

Color/Shape: white, tube shaped, bus length.

Height & Speed: 200 feet above sea level. 20 knots (our speed)
