UFO Sighting Report - USA
July 7th 2007 : Canton, Ohio
Please treat this report with caution as the witness states:
The object was a round sphere and rotating.
The object had panels on one side, and clear silver on the other side - I assume he could see the 'sides' (on a sphere?) as it rotated.
The object had red and green lights running vertical in a strip on the front - how did they stay at the front if it was rotating?

Description: I'm still shaking about this two days later. It was a bright shiny morning, no clouds in the sky. I noticed something shiney in the sky while driving south on the East side of Canton (near Western Louisville area). I slowed to see what it was - we do have an airport in the Akron/Canton area and I figured it was an airplane on approach to land. I pulled over and got out of my car when I saw that it wasn't an airplane. I'm very serious here - what I saw was extremely clear, and flying relatively low. It was a round sphere in shape. It appeared to have some kind of panels on one side, and clear silver on the other side. There were green and red lights running in a distinct strip from top to bottom on the sphere. I saw these very clearly. The sphere appeared to be turning on a axis left to right (as you would turn your head) as it flew across the sky. I would say it moved methodically. There was no sound, like a jet or airplane would make. As it turned left to right, the bright sun would shine off the sides, making it very clear and visible to see. This was NOT a blimp, weather balloon, or anything like I've ever seen.
Color/Shape: Silver, sphere shape (like a basketball). Red and green lights running vertical in a stip on the front of the sphere.
Height & Speed: Impossible to guess the height; my best guess on speed would be 80-100 mph. It was moving methodically through the air; much slower than a airliner would fly. My gut told me it appeared to be looking for something.
TV/Radio/Press: No other reports that I'm aware of. I can't believe (and I'm very serious) that nobody else saw this. It was the only thing in the sky that morning. It gleamed across the sky because the sun was very bright that morning.
