Altoona, Iowa Object Streaks Across The Sky

Date: January 23, 2008
Time: 10:15 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Altoona, Iowa.
Number of witnesses: 1
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Looked like a giant snowball.

Full Description of event/sighting: This object was not a comet first off, it didn't leave a trail behind it. The sighting only lasted for about three seconds. I was watching the sky since I have been seeing strange lights lately, then out of nowhere this very bright snowball looking object streaked across the sky. It was very fast and it couldn't have been a comet. (Meaning meteor) Since I have seen videos and photos of them this object didn't leave a trail just like I said.
