Weather Conditions: Clear sky, warm weather

Description: We saw this strange object in the sky as we were driving West on a neighboring street in Riverside( about a block from our home ), near Philadelphia avenue. It was very slow moving, but we could clearly see some fire sparks-like coming from underneath it. We thought it could be a blimp or a hot air balloon, but we definitely could not make it out to be either. There was a man in an old vehicle smoking a cigarette whom we also asked if he could see that & could make out what it was, but he just said "I see it but don't know what it is. We then called our neighbor to see if he was up & asked him to go outside. So he & his two boys went outside & also confirmed the sighting. They too, could not figure out what it was. They tried to video tape it, but suddenly, it just faded off......it actually looked like it was slowly descending but then we just could not see it any longer. We came home shortly after and then we experienced an earthquake.
